Case Study – Scaling Acquisitions of Local Clinics

In 2022, our local client was acquired by Canada’s largest chain of medical aesthetic clinics. The integration process, initiated in 2023, was mishandled, resulting in a severe traffic decline from 10,000 to under 2,000 monthly visitors, which significantly impacted sales.

Challenge

We faced the task of consolidating content, creating new pages, developing and executing a comprehensive redirect plan, and enhancing several technical aspects of the website.

Our Role

Initially, our involvement was minimal, but our client facilitated a meeting with the CEO to address the issues. In late 2023, we were entrusted with a pilot program to resolve the integration problems, properly merge the existing brand with the acquirer’s website, and recover the lost traffic.

Solution

We successfully restored traffic within 2 months. Due to this success, we now oversee the integration process for 35 additional acquisitions this year.

Insight

Earlier involvement in the pre-merger phase would have allowed us to provide crucial guidance, ensuring a smoother transition and preventing the significant revenue loss that occurred.
